Chiefs Supporters Club

At the beginning of 2017/18 Rugby Union season the Exeter Chiefs Supporters Club introduced a ‘Small Grants Scheme’ to support our aim of providing financial and practical support to deserving causes connected to the sport of Rugby Union and especially to Youth Development.  Details of this scheme and how to apply are on our website www.chiefssupportersclub.co.uk

In the first year of its introduction we received ten applications for grants. Of these ten, six were successful, two deferred to a later date due to possible Insurance claims, and two refused by the committee as not being within our remit. The successful applicants were as follows:

     

North Taunton RFC Junior Section for kit.  £500

Torquay Athletic U11’s for new tackle and ruck bags. £200

Crediton RFC Ladies Section for training equipment. £500

Exeter Saracens Junior Section towards a Defibrillator £500

Paignton RFC Youth Section for training equipment.   £500

Bodmin Junior Rugby for training equipment.   £500

 

For the season 2018/19 the Exeter Chiefs Supporters Club Committee agreed to set aside a further 3000 pounds for the Small Grants Scheme. The following grants were agreed and awarded.

  

Crediton RFC U9’s to Colts and 3 girls teams for training kit.  £500

Teignmouth RFC Under 15’s for tackle shields and bags. £500

Torquay RFC U12’s for tackle shields.   £300

Teignmouth RFC Colts for upgrading tackle kit.  £500

Devonport Services RFC Senior and U18’s Ladies section for kit.  £500

 

 

2019/2020 season we have awarded grants to the following clubs:

  

Salcombe RFC for new tackle bags     £250

Ilfracombe RFC Youth Section for new tackle mats and bags   £500

Crediton RFC 11 x Junior and Girls teams for updated First-Aid Kits  £400

Exeter Athletics girls U13 for new training equipment packages   £500

Paignton RFC Youth for junior tackle shields and Respect barrier kit  £400

Exeter Athletics under 11’s for body pads and speed and agility kit  £400

Exmouth RFC Junior Club for British Standard Compliant First-Aid kits £450
